Liz has been in my life for 12 years now, ever since I first joined WAODS and she was involved in 'The Wizard of Oz'. Liz was not starring in this production but, as always, was on hand to lend her skills and support for WAODS. My fist experience of working with her was in this show when she choreographed a dance scene with me, her daughter Olivia and another member of the chorus. Liz was so talented in many ways and movement and dance was just one of them, i was total blown away by her ability to interpret the music and get us performers to move in the way she visualised, that scene acted as a lasting memory of that show for me and i will never forget it! later in my WAODS experience i had the honor of directing Liz in our production of Honk! the musical where she had the staring role of Ida, the mothering and protective duck who was the only one who would stand up for her rather different duckling. Liz brought a true and warm heart to that role and blessed it with her beautiful singing voice! (I really didn't need to direct at all!) A voice that I have been privileged to sing with on numerous occasions when we performed duets with our singing group the 47las and on stage with WAODS. Liz was always kind, respectful and supportive to me during my time with her and you were always made to feel included in everything she did. I was particularly honored when my partner Lance and I were invited to her wedding to Darren and I was blessed to be able to take part in such a special day, including a surprise performance in the church just for them! It was truly an amazing experience full of wonderful and happy memories that we both will cherish forever! Thank you! I only wish we would have been able to return that honor and have her at our wedding when it happens, however she will be there in our hearts. Our deepest and heart felt sympathy goes to Daren, Olivia and their family at this very difficult and heart breaking time and we want them to know that our thoughts and love are with them. Both Lance and I feel privileged to have know Liz and to have been apart of her life! until we meet again, much love! David and Lance xxxxxxxx

I was so sorry to learn of her loss, and recall Liz as a very special partner and colleague, particularly when we both played our parts in 'My Fair Lady'. I have very happy memories of the show and the pleasure I had with working alongside Liz and the rest of the Cast. bIt will always remain one of the principle highlights of my acting experience.

Due to Covid-19 it is impossible to be with you at Liz's final farewell, but Jennie and I will be alongside you in spirit. My best wishes and condolences go to the Family, and to all WAODS members.
So it's 'Farewell my Fair Lady' - and 'Where the devil are my slippers?'

I have lived in Alkington Road for over 30 years. Just a few doors down from Anne and the family. I have known Liz and been a friend for all that time. A really warm and friendly lady. She was blessed with a lovely warm personality. Always a pleasure to see and chat to her. She will be missed by so many people. My heart goes out to her family. Taken far too soon. Sleep peacefully Liz. X

It was with a sad heart I heard the news about Liz. It was always a pleasure to see her and I enjoyed the few opportunities I had to sing with her. My love to Olivia and all her family.

So sad to hear this news. Liz was a long-time friend, as well as being a stage wife on a number of occasions (‘Guys and Dolls’ and ‘Brigadoon’ immediately come to mind as joyful memories), a duet-partner (we sang ‘Come What May’ together years ago - my favourite performance ever, I think), and shared many warm and meaningful conversations in pubs over a pint or two! She was a lovely friend and a major influence during our Shropshire years. God Bless you and those left behind. X

Here are just one or two of my own thoughts and reflections of Liz. I first got to know her when we appeared together in WAODS's 1994 production of My Fair Lady with Liz taking the lead role of Eliza.
Watching her in that role, I remember the feeling of being spellbound with admiration at the way she commanded the stage with the high quality of her singing and acting.
We later went on to perform together in other shows for the society and I had the pleasure of directing Liz in Godspell and Return to the Forbidden Planet.
I also have fond memories of Liz when we all used to hang out together, be it after rehearsal drinks, the cinema or sledging with Olivia on the park.
Liz, I am still trying to get my head around that you have left us, but one thing is for sure, we will miss you, and I promise we will never forget you x

Thank you so much for setting this up for my beloved daughter Elizabeth (Liz to most of you). I was so proud of her and her singing voice moved me so much as I listened at a number of the WAODS productions. I was also to pleased to meet some of you at the final night after show drinks. She will be sorely missed by so many people and has left a big hole in my life. I hope you are enjoying singing with the angels. Rest in peace my darling xx

Liz you will be very much missed in so many ways, I enjoyed singing, dancing and laughing all the way through our time in WAODS. I admired the mum you were to Liv when she was growing up and training to become the wonderful teacher you became. And I hope that Ron & Liv know that they will always have a family here in WAODS.

I will always think of you when I hear a Scottish accent and will always eat After Eights in your honour from now on.

Sleep easy beautiful girl. XXX
